What is the KETO Lifestyle?

The keto diet is a low-carb, high-fat, controlled-protein diet that causes your body to burn fat for fuel as opposed to turning to quick energy such as sugar or glucose.
While glucose is an excellent source of "quick fuel", there are some downsides, such as energy crashes, erratic blood sugar, and unwanted weight gain. Being accustomed to utilizing carbohydrates such as breads, grains, sugars, and starches for energy, ultimately your system craves even more carbs, leading to zero dependence on fat for fuel and subsequently more weight gain.

Controlling carbs forces your body into ketosis and your body begins to burn "stored energy" (fat). Your body then starts converting fat into ketones, and your body produces clean, even energy avoiding the highs and lows.
